Joseph Tuyishimire is an Earth observation (EO) and Geospatial Information System (GIS) specialist. He works for Digital Earth Africa Project Management Team (PMO) as a User Engagement Manager. Joseph speaks both French and English, that he plays a key role in capacity development and support of stakeholders across Africa – with a focus on Francophone countries. He brings his experience in capacity building and EO to enable users from Implementing Partners and beyond to use DE Africa data for evidence-based decision making, contributing to the progress towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the African Union Agenda 2063. Joseph is based in Kigali, Rwanda, and has been working as Researcher at the Center for Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing-University of Rwanda (CGIS-UR) since 2012.
