Hendra Nur Rofiq


Hendra Nur Rofiq is the Chief Officer of Technical Cooperation in Secretariat Directorate General of Law Enforcement Environment and Forestry, Ministry of Environment and Forestry Indonesia. He began his carrier as a civil servant in 2006 with the Ministry of Forestry of Indonesia. His specialization is in handling and combating forestry crimes. Hendra has been involved in many operations on forestry crime at national and international level. At the international level, since 2014, Hendra has been active in Interpol operations as the National Operational Coordinator. Hendra represents Indonesia for the Interpol annual meetings related to environment and wildlife crimes, and participants in law enforcement trainings conducted by Interpol. 

Hendra is also active in bilateral and multilateral cooperation on environment and wildlife issues. He became one of Indonesia delegations for the ASEAN-Wildlife Enforcement Network (WEN). Hendra is also involved in developing ASEAN Guidelines for detecting and preventing Wildlife Trafficking. He carried out several joint operations/ investigations of transnational wildlife crimes including repatriation of Indonesian wildlife that were  confiscated abroad.

Hendra holds a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry from the Faculty of Forestry, Gadjah Mada University -Indonesia (2004). In 2014, Hendra completed his double degree master’s program  on Economic Science at the University of Indonesia and on Economic Development at the ISS – Erasmus University of Rotterdam.
